100% Winning On-Page SEO Checklist in 2024 | GraphersDesk

Hello SEOs,

Today’s blog can be a game changer for every blogger; every SEO’s dream is to rank higher on Search engines. Organic traffic is always crucial for a website’s success. That is why the On-Page SEO checklist comes into play.

On-page SEO helps you optimize your website content and sends a positive signal to the search engine’s crawler to improve the website’s visibility.

I have shared a 100% winning On-Page SEO Checklist in this blog. I will also discuss Keyword research, Link insertion, the Importance of technical SEO, and more.

By following this On-Page SEO blueprint, you can perform better on search engines and generate organic traffic for your website.

What is on-page SEO?

On-page SEO is a technique that can be performed within a website. It means optimizing the content and structure of our website to make our page more visible to search engine users like me and you.

There are a few more techniques to rank any website on a search engine results page (SERP), like Off-Page SEO and technical SEO. Fixing all of them together can only help you win the SEO race.

Once you learn how to do proper On-page SEO for your websites, you will have won half of the game.

Yes, you hear this right! Because On-page SEO plays a crucial role in ranking.

Let’s follow my winning On-Page SEO Checklist, which helped me grow my traffic to 100% within a quarter.

Why is on-page SEO important?

According to FirstPageSage, the top 3 results on the Google search engine generate almost 70% of the organic traffic. Paid ads, which rank above organic results, generate only 2.1%.

To rank on the 1st page of a search engine, you must build a proper Off-Page Strategy and a winning On-Page SEO checklist.

Don’t get too much confused, let’s see an example;
You are not the only one trying to rank in the #1 position on Google. Thousands of other competitors also aim to achieve the #1 position on the same keyword. But search engines can’t show all the results on the 1st page.

Hence, they have established their guidelines, and whoever follows them more closely can win the ranking race.

Why do you need my On-Page SEO checklist?

Imagine having a blueprint before climbing any mountain can help the mountaineer. That’s exactly what my On-Page SEO Checklist does for bloggers.

In 2024, ranking in 1st position is not easy. And that’s where On-Page SEO comes into the game. This helps to optimize your content, meta tags, and website structure. Finally, your website sends a positive signal to search engines.

Let’s talk about those checklists, which helped me to grow my traffic up to 100%

Include Keywords in Title & Description:

  • Ensure you have included the primary keyword in the title and description.
  • Try to use the keywords as early as possible, avoiding the keyword at the end of the title and description.
  • The best length of the title is 50-55 characters, and 140-160 characters for description.

Create Meaningful URLs:

  • One of the SEO myths is to include your exact keyword in URLs. This works well when you have chosen a short keyword. But using long-tail keywords in URLs becomes a bit challenging, so you can pick seed keywords about the topic.
  • Try to limit your URLs to 60-65 characters.

Utilize Keywords in the First 10% of content:

SEO experts suggest using the primary keyword as early as possible in the content. According to the rankmath SEO plugin, use your targeted keyword within the first 10% of the content. This means if your blog is 1000 words, you use your keyword at least once within the first 100 words.

Optimize Keyword Density:

Including keywords in content is an art. As an SEO person, you must include your keyword everywhere, including meta tags, Images, content, etc…

But do you know?
What should be the ideal keyword density for any blog? It has different answers from different experts. Generally, people prefer to use the keyword up to 3%.

What do I think about this?
If we have chosen short-tail keywords, you can use the primary keyword up to 2.5 to 3%. However, if you selected long-tail keywords, it would be over-optimized by 3%. At that time, we should use Keyword Density up to 1% and mention our secondary keyword 1-2 times.

Keyword Placement in Subheadings:

Your primary keyword should be present in the subheadings. Adding subheadings to content enhances the quality of both users and search engines. As said earlier, strategic keyword placement will push search engines to make your content visible.

Image Compression and Alt Tags:

Make sure your images are compressed. Users hate slow-loading sites, so as an SEO person, you need to do everything to reduce images’ size. Also, use related descriptive alt tags for all the images for better accessibility and SEO.

Embed Videos:

Embedding videos to your content enhances users’ engagement, which sends a positive signal to search engines.

Internal Linking:

Internal linking can be a game changer if you know how to do it. This practice increases metrics like users/sessions and page views and also controls your bounce rate, which is again a positive signal.

  • Link related posts/pages. It helps user navigation
  • Link minimum 3-4 pages as internal linking

Include External Links for Credibility:

Mention external links to your content. It shows that you have done the research while writing the content. So, whenever you are writing content and discussing facts, do not forget to mention the reference URL so your readers can visit the page and learn in detail.

Write for Humans:

I have noticed that the majority of bloggers optimize their content for search engines. Instead, it would help if you focused on both humans and search engines. Your content will not perform if you cannot satisfy both of them (which are Humans and Search Engines)

Implement Schema Markup:

This does not come under the On-Page SEO Checklist, but I have included this in my list because, in 2024, Schema Markup is playing a crucial role in ranking.

So, this was the On-Page SEO Checklist that helped me increase traffic for my clients. I strongly recommend you use this checklist to see the magic.
